Saint John Police Investigating New Year’s Day Stabbing On East Side

Saint John police are investigating a New Year’s Day stabbing on the east side of the city.

Sergeant Mike Young says a man was stabbed inside a home in the Highmeadow Drive area, which is off of McAllister Drive, and the call came in to police around 4:45am on January 1.

The man was taken to the Saint John Regional Hospital with multiple stab wounds which appear to be non-life threatening.

We’re told that the victim isn’t being very cooperative with police at this point and that no arrests have been made, though Sgt. Young says that the public shouldn’t be worried as this situation ‘seems to be specific to that address.’
