A forest fire near McAdam is still burning out of control.
The New Brunswick Forest Fire Center says the blaze is located north of Modsley Lake, and at this time, is not a threat to the Village of McAdam.
Officials believe the fire started after a lightning strike on Saturday, and has since burned over 15 hectares.
The Department of Energy and Resource Development sent water bombers to fight the fire Monday night, but hot and dry conditions, along with strong winds have caused the fire to flare up again.
The Village says ground crews, using a tanker and a tracked vehicle, along with water bombers are working today, along with help from the McAdam Fire Department.
In the meantime, the provincial government has put a province-wide burn ban in place, likely due to dry conditions.
They will look at the ban again at 2pm this afternoon.
Environment Canada says there is a chance of showers and a risk of thundershowers for tonight in Charlotte County.
