Developing property on Sandy Point Road is one focus of the new growth plan released by the City.
Former Mayor Ivan Court tells us millions of dollars was invested in the road to spur growth during his term somewhere between 2008 and 2012.
He tells the area where water services were installed and improved is near University Avenue heading towards the Golf course.
He says some of the residents were against the idea of the city opening up other properities along that roadway.
Court says it’s time for this to happen because we are losing to many citizens to the outlying areas.
