Four Weekend Fires In Saint John

There were four fires this weekend in Saint John leaving ten people homeless, at least temporarily.

The Canadian Red Cross is helping two adults and a three year old child following a fire in a two storey house at 122 Hillcrest Road. The fire was contained mostly to the basement but electricity had to be shut off.

Two adults and two children were also forced out of their home after a house on River Avenue was extensively damaged by fire.

A man was taken to hospital for unspecified injuries after a kitchen fire extensively damaged an upstairs apartment in a two storey building on Exmouth Street.

At least two people were forced from their home after a fire on Charlotte Street. A woman was also treated for minor smoke inhalation.
