Provincial Government Invests More Than $13 Million In Energy Retrofitting Initiatives For Public Buildings

The Gallant Government is investing more than $13 million this year in renewable energy iniatives and energy retrofits of public buildings.

Premier Brian Gallant says the projects will help schools, and hospitals become more energy efficient.

He adds that will reduce costs, and create jobs all while protecting the environment.

Projects at 40 schools and hospitals province wide range from lighting upgrades, to heating and ventilation work.

Infrastructure Minister Bill Fraser says they have increased investment under these programs from $300,000 in 2014 to more than $13 million.
