Whether the provincial government will actually use the feedback from the Strategic Program Review will soon be known.
The Gallant government will deliver their provincial budget tomorrow (Tuesday).
We asked John Gardner, co-chair of the group The Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County, if he thought the ideas brought forward during the Strategic Program Review would be used in the provincial budget….
“To be honest, I’m not confident. The thing that we have to our advantage right now is people who are listening to us, we are getting the word out there that we need to make a change.”
Gardner says by doing interviews and meetings, the group is getting the message out that they don’t want any cuts being made to the Charlotte County Hospital, or to the education system.
He adds, “We are getting the message out, and the government can’t say ‘Well you didn’t say anything’. We are saying something.”
