Gas prices continue downward trend in New Brunswick

Gas prices are expected to reach a two-month low Thursday night.

An industry source is reporting a four-cent drop for both gas and diesel when the Energy and Utilities Board makes its weekly adjustment.

That will bring regular self-serve to a maximum of about $1.76 per litre, while diesel’s maximum will dip to $2.17.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.76 to $1.78 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $2.09 and $2.11 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the maximum price for regular self-serve is about $1.90 per litre, diesel is at $2.23 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of about $1.62 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board makes its regular weekly adjustment to prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
