Going Green Would Be Good For The Provincial Economy

Green Energy is a winner for the provincial economy. That message from Provincial Green Party leader David Coon after what he heard at an energy summit in Edmundston.

He says one study found the province’s economy could grow by 300 to 400 million dollars a year, generating 21 to 34 million dollars in tax revenue.

Coon says a study done by the provincial government back in 2012 discovered that by developing the energy efficiency potential of the province, up to 14 hundred jobs a year could be created.
