NB Power crews are working hard to restore power to thousands of customers in the province.
The utility reports more than 1,900 homes and businesses are without power with roughly 1,200 outages in Charlotte County.
The outages are the result of high wind gusts last night which impacted much of southern New Brunswick.

NB Power says crews have been dispatched.

They are also assessing the situation in many communities to determine restoration times.

The wind and rain storm forced a number of schools to close in the province because of power issues.
