Helmetless ATV Driver Arrested On Union Street

An odd sight on Union Street with a man driving an all-terrain vehicle down the street wearing a tank top, shorts and no helmet.

Police say it happened just after 9 p.m. on Monday.

The officers flipped on their lights and sirens and began following the ATV.

They say the driver tried to get away by turning up an alley between two stores, but it was blocked by a parked vehicle.

Officers arrested the driver who they believe was impaired.

A 35-year-old man is looking at several charges, including impaired driving, driving over the limit, and driving an ATV on a roadway.
