Helpful Tips To Survive Air Travel This Holiday Season

The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is evident in airports this week and Expedia.ca has some tips to help you survive all that stress.

Spokesperson Lauren Reimer says if you’re travelling with Christmas gifts, make sure you don’t wrap them since security officials will be sure to unwrap them.

Reimer says downloading a mobile travel app for your phone is also a good idea to get the latest updates.

“You will be updated if there is a delay, if there is a cancellation or a gate update. That’s very important to remember since it’s going to be busy at the airport. But the weather might also be a factor,” she notes.

Since most airlines now charge extra for baggage, Reimer suggests packing as lightly as possible to avoid expensive add-on fees.

And if you’re travelling with kids, she says keep them busy at the airport by bringing along toys, tablets, games and snacks.
