Higgs Accuses Premier Of Pulling A Disappearing Act On Property Taxes

Opposition Conservative leader Blaine Higgs is wondering why the province used a company that specialises in reducing corporate tax bills to conduct the property tax assessment at Canaport LNG.

The tax assessment went down by more than 67 per cent which has left other property owners scratching their heads.

Higgs says Premier Brian Gallant needs to face the people but is nowhere to be found and if he were Premier, every corporation including Irving Oil, where he used to work, would pay their fair share.
