Higgs On Property Tax Reduction For Provincial Cabinet Minister

Provincial Conservative leader Blaine Higgs is raising the spectre of Health Minister Victor Boudreau getting preferential treatment with a property tax assessment.

Higgs says the assessment of land proposed by Boudreau for a campground in Shediac went down by over $30 thousand and the tax bill was cut almost in half whereas the nearby campgrounds saw their assessments rise by 76 per cent.

Local Government Minister Serge Rouselle says there’s a big difference because the Boudreau land is undeveloped and vacant whereas the nearby campgrounds are fully operational.
