The clothing store H&M is going to be coming to Saint John’s McAllister Place on the east side in the fall of this year.
Spokesperson for H&M Canada Emily Scarlett tells us it will take up a portion of the space vacated by Target and will be approximately 19,000 square feet. She says a store of that size employs roughly 30 people.
“So that’s a combination of part-timers, full-timers and managers. It could go up to 40 during seasonal times like the holidays or back to school or things like that but I would say roughly 30 to 40,” says Scarlett.
There are currently two H&M locations in New Brunswick, one in Dieppe and the other in Fredericton.
