With the HST going up by two per cent in July we now know when the HST credits will be handed out.
The provincial government those who are eligible will receive their first HST credit payment in October.
The full HST credit will be provided to those whose incomes are less than $35,000 a year. An individual with an income of less than $50,000 or a family of two adults and two children with a combined income of less than $75,000, could also receive a payment.
In October, eligible New Brunswickers will receive two quarterly payments covering the period of July through December in one single payment.
In January 2017, the payments will return to single quarterly payments. This payment will be the approximate amount that eligible New Brunswickers can expect on a quarterly basis going forward.
