The new KV police chief is Wayne Gallant who has 27 years experience with the RCMP and spent the last year with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Gallant has worked in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario but he spent most of his career working in New Brunswick.
He is described as a lifelong learner who embraces new opportunities. He holds degrees in Arts and Education from Memorial university and a Master’s in Adult Education from UNB.
Gallant begins his new job on Monday, November 27th.
