The Liberal candidate in Saint John-Rothesay Wayne Long is criticial of the long campaign but adds he’s prepared for it.
Long isn’t worried the flurry of funding announcements in the days leading up to the election call will adversely affect his chances, saying people will see them for what they are as an attempt to sway votes and may even lok upon them with a degree of cynicism and skepticism.
Long has been campaigning door to door long before the election was called and says people are concerned the local economy is on the wrong track and he claims they’re loking for change.
The NDP has not yet officially chosen a candidate to run in Saint John-Rothesay. A-J Griffin has announced she wants to run for the party in the riding.
