Listeria Concerns Prompt Salad Recall

A recall involving some Eat Smart brand packaged salads has been expanded due to possible Listeria contamination.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) originally recalled the sweet kale salad shake ups on Dec. 4.

Now, the recall also includes the avocado ranch and raspberry açaí salad shake ups — all with a best before date of Dec. 14.

Officials say the recall was triggered by CFIA test results, adding their food safety investigation could lead to more products being recalled.

The agency says the products should be thrown out or returned to the store where you bought them.
