There’s a buzz in the air as a major announcement is happening today for the approximately $24-million Saint John Field House project.
Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long says in a Facebook post that he’s worked hard on this one along with the province and Bill MacMackin, who chairs the fundraising campaign for the project.
The announcement is happening at 9:30am today at the Exhibition Park building on McAllister Drive.
The funding model for the project is divided between donors, the province, the feds and the city. The $3.5-million commitment from the city is conditional on funding from other levels of government and from the community.
