With the national unemployment rate sitting at 6.5-percent and the addition of more than 45-thousand jobs mostly in part-time work in June, you might be surprised to learn that the vast majority of businesses questioned for a new survey report some level of difficulty in filling jobs.
The survey, which was released from Express Employment Professionals, asked a total of 533 businesses this June how easy it is for you to recruit and fill positions?
24-percent said very difficult and 46-percent said somewhat difficult. On the other side, 25-percent said somewhat easy and just 4-percent said very easy.
As for why employers think their jobs aren’t being filled, 32-percent pointed to lack of available applicants while 30-percent said lack of applicants with experience.
