Man and Woman Facing Charges After Discovery Of Restricted Firearms At Woodstock Border Crossing

A man and woman from New Brunswick are facing charges after the discovery of restricted firearms at the Woodstock border crossing.

On Wednesday evening, Canada Border Services agents found two semi-automatic rifles and prohibited overcapacity magazines.

56-year old David Allen Polchies, and 46-year old Sharon Ann Weeks, both from Teeds Mills just south of Woodstock are facing several charges including importing restricted firearms.

In relation to the border incident, RCMP officers armed with a warrant searched a home in Teeds Mills Thursday where they discovered a number of other firearms, along with ammunition and a large amount of cash.
