The federal legalization of marijuana is on the horizon and the provincial government is preparing for what the roll-out would look like here.
Recommendations from a provincial working group on the issue will be providing recommendations to the provincial government on a distribution and retail model by this fall.
The group is made of up officials from NB Liquor, the departments of Justice and Public Safety, Health and Finance, and Opportunities NB.
The group is mandated to look into risks that come with legalizing weed in the province and come back with recommendations.
