The city’s Finance Committee is projecting a deficit of $164-thousand dollars for this year.
Mayor Don Darling says that deficit in a total budget of a couple hundred million dollars doesn’t seem like a lot of money and he’s fairly confident about this year.
Darling says there’s a lot of work left to get to the end of the budget year and at this stage, we’re a bit behind, but fairly balanced.
He says Common Council and city staff are working hard at finding as many savings as possible.
