Mayor: It’s Been A Tough and Trying Time For City Snow Plow Operators

With snow-slammed Saint John getting more than four feet of the white stuff in less than a week, Mayor Mel Norton says this has been a very tough and trying time for City snow plow operators who have been working 16-hour days in an effort to contend with the snowfall.

Norton tells us crews have been working these very long shifts for an extended period of time now and they’re grateful to them. He says to get through the end of this week, they’re all going to be working as long as they can and as hard as they can.

Norton says the best way any resident can help the men and women working for the City right now is to move their vehicle. He says that increases how quickly and efficiently workers can do the job.
