Province Ready To Assist With Storm Cleanup, Says Premier

In America, Governors have the authority to order travel bans during bad storms – not so with Canadian premiers.

In light of the slew of bad storms that have hit the region in recent days, we asked Premier Brian Gallant whether he thinks premiers should be able to declare such bans. He tells CHSJ News the storms have definitely been frequent and severe – and he’d be opening to listening to any recommendations that could make New Brunswickers safer.

That being said, Gallant says he feels the response to storms has been effective in the province so far.
