Messy Storm System Heading Our Way

It looks like we are going to have one of those winter storms that lead to you needing a snow shovel and umbrella.

A system is coming in from the Great Lakes starting Friday morning that will eventually see four different kinds of precipitation according to Environment Canada Meteorologist Jill Maepea.

“Precipitation will start Friday morning in the form of snow we can expect 5 to 10 cm of snow before the system switches over to possibly some freezing rain or ice pellets, and then rain overnight Friday throughout Saturday,” stated Maepea.

There will be up to 20 mm of rain along the Fundy coast and around 5 to 10 mm for Fredericton and Maepea says the majority of the freezing rain will be north of Fredericton from Doaktown towards Miramichi and Campbellton areas.
