Conservative MLA Bill Oliver says a spare boat should be put in place that could be used at all crossings and avoid wait times during the latest ferry delays.
The Peninsula Princess Ferry has been delayed for the past 3 months.
Oliver says if the ferry delays were a test to see if we could get by without the Peninsula Princess Ferry then the proof is there that we do need it.
Oliver says the repairs on the ferry included changing the engines and ramps and time could have been saved by having the parts prefabricated.
