Leaving a pet in your car is a bad idea, especially at this time of year.
Executive Director for the Greater Moncton SPCA Karen Nelson says cars can heat up quickly, and that can put your pet at risk.
She says cars can reach deadly temperatures, even on a mild day.
As pet owners, we don’t like to sit in a hot car, and we shouldn’t expect our pets to do that either…
Nelson says if you do see a pet that has been left in the car in the heat. The Greater Moncton SPCA does not have the legal authority to break into a vehicle and you must contact the New Brunswick SPCA.
