More Land Is Expected To Be Donated For Conservation In Province

The donation of land to the Nature Conservancy of Canada is expected to become an even more common occurrence over the next ten years that according to spokesman Andrew Holland.

He attributes this to the aging and shrinking population in the province of New Brunswick with landowners seeking a legacy.

Holland says many of their donations come from families who have inherited land butwere unsure of what to do with it. They wanted a way to preserve and protect that land so it could stay the way they remembered it.

Since 1962, the Nature Conservancy, along with their partners have helped to conserve more than 2.7 million acres of land from coast to coast.
