More Streets Open For Parkers

Snow removal operations in the Southern Peninsula are close to completion with most streets now open for on-street parking.

The only streets that remain under the 24/7 parking ban are:

  • Princess Street, from Crown Street to Sydney Street
  • Duke Street, from Crown Street to Sydney Street
  • Mecklenburg Street, from Crown Street to Sydney Street
  • Queen Street, from Crown Street to Sydney Street
  • Union Street, from St. Patrick Street to Smythe Street

Crews will focus overnight snow removal efforts in the Waterloo Village area. No parking signs will be installed on a street-by-street basis as they move through the area.

Expect traffic delays, road closures and no parking in the following areas:

  • Peel Plaza, from Union Street to Carleton Street
  • Carleton Street, from Coburg Street to the dead end
  • Wellington Row, from Carleton Street to Union Street
  • Dorchester Street, from Union Street to the Wall Street Ramp

Drivers are being asked to park off-street in the Waterloo Village area while crews work to clear streets and sidewalks in preparation for snow removal efforts. Truck traffic will be especially heavy on Coburg Street, Peters Street, Paddock Street, and Cliff Street this evening.
