New Brunswick politicians are back in Fredericton today, as the fourth session of the 58th legislature begins.
It will open at 9am this morning.
Caraquet MLA Hedard Albert will move the acceptance of the throne speech, and that will be seconded by Restigouche-Chaleur MLA Daniel Guitard.
Premier Brian Gallant outlined some of the things that will be focused on during this session. They include, supporting families and improving health care, and unveiling initiatives aimed at preventing partner violence.
The government is also expected to make an investment in initiatives to better provide mental health services, and reduce poverty.. Another issue is strengthening the economy, with a further reduction to the small business income tax rate, and they will also increase ransparency, which will include create appropriate spending and donation limits for municipal elections.
