Tuesday Morning Sports For October 24th

In the NHL, Frederik Andersen made 36 saves in Toronto’s 3-2 win over Los Angeles to hand the Kings their first loss of the season and San Jose downed the New York Rangers 4-1.

Carson Wentz threw four touchdown passes and the Philadelphia Eagles improved to 6 and 1 with a 34-24 win over Washington.

The first game of the World Series will be played tonight in Los Angeles with the Dodgers taking on Houston. In a matchup of pitching aces, the Dodgers will start Clayton Kershaw against Dallas Keuchel for the Astros. The National Weather Service forecast is calling for a high of 101 degrees in Los Angeles with an excessive heat warning. The game will start shortly after 9:00 Atlantic time.

The Moncton Magic of the National Basketball League have signed Anthony Anderson who played in Saint John for six seasons and is the all time league scoring leader with more than 41 hundred points.
