President Dr. Lynn Murphy-Kaulbeck says this report gathered 1,452 ideas from 795 New Brunswickers to see how to increase resident health.
She says they haven’t specifically looked into costing for some of the initiatives.
“Keep in mind, some of them are pretty basic and not that hard to achieve,” says Dr. Murphy-Kaulbeck. “If you read the report, every department within government has a role to play, and the costing will come in within that, but these aren’t things that require a huge amount of financial input.”
Dr. Murphy-Kaulbeck says schools should take a lead by changing Physical Education and reintroducing Home Economics.
