There are no tax increases in the Town of Rothesay for 2019.
The general operating budget is $17.8 million and the capital budget is $5.9 million.
Mayor Nancy Grant says the tax rate will remain at $1.24 and she has more good news for property owners.
“No increase in sewer no increase in water and the average Rothesay household pays $870.00 for water and sewer, which is very so we are very pleased not to raise the taxes this year, stated Mayor Grant.
As for capital projects, Mayor Grant says there will be major work done in several areas of the town.
” On the Marr Road, which needs new curbs and sidewalks and improvement of drainage from Church Avenue to the river, as well as replacing the turf on lower Arthur Miller Field.”
