Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison Dies at 88

Author and Nobel Laureate Toni Morrison has passed away at the age of 88.

Morrison, author of the novels ‘Beloved’ and ‘The Bluest Eye,’ was described as a “literary pioneer” for her work depicting the African-American experience.

She has one several awards for her work, including a Pulitzer and an American Book award. She was the first African-American woman to win the Nobel Prize.

The Official Toni Morrison Society says additional details regarding services and tributes to Morrison will be provided as soon they are confirmed.
