It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur ‘Art’ Leslie Ferguson announces his passing on May 20, 2026, at the age of 85 years, at Rocmaura Nursing Home.
Born on July 11, 1940, in Saint John, to parents Venus and Arthur Ferguson, Art was known for his hardworking nature and kind personality.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his sister, Fonda Patzke, his niece, Tanya Patzke, his nephew, Mark (Kristina) Patzke; their son, Connor Patzke, his cousins, Lynne (Mike) Hubbard and Paul Martin, his many cousins around Canada, who he loved dearly, and all who knew him.
Art was predeceased by his parents and his niece, whom he adored, Angelie Patzke.
The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing nurses and staff at Rocmaura Nursing Home for the compassion, kindness, and care they provided to Art throughout the years, especially Sarah Draper, the Recreation Manager, who always put a smile on his face.
Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424). A graveside service will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 450 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L7, at a later date.
