Denis Alan Skidmore

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Denis Alan Skidmore after an extended illness, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born July 4, 1941, in Sydney, Australia, he was a son of the late Arthur John Skidmore and Hollie Roselyn (nee Barrett) Skidmore.

Denis was an avid motorcyclist as well as a boater. He enjoyed world travel. Denis was a well respected volunteer at the Saint John Community Food Basket.

Denis is survived by his brother, John Barry Skidmore of Sydney, Australia; partner, Ann Lester of Saint John, as well as his extended family of niece, and nephews; and his close friends.

Denis was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice (nee Ramsay); parents.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), A Service of Remembrance will be held at Brenan’s Chapel, Thursday, January 15th at 11 AM.
