Grace Anna MacLeod

November 16, 1949  –  February 9, 2026

Anna Grace (Bishop) MacLeod, born November 16, 1949, in Summerside, PEI, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026. Grace spent most of her life in Grand Bay–Westfield, New Brunswick, where she built a warm and welcoming life filled with love, laughter, and deep connections.

Grace was the cherished daughter of John Bishop and Florence (Phillips) Bishop. She is survived by her devoted husband, Wayne MacLeod, and her sons: Jeff MacLeod, his current partner Jamie Reeser, and his former spouse Dawn (Lamey) MacLeod; and Greg MacLeod and his wife Heidi (Cunningham) MacLeod. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Emma, Katelynn, Chase, Madelyn, Jack, and Oliver, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Grace is also survived by her siblings: Rollie Phillips (Dolores), Jimmy Bishop (Audrey), Georgie Bell, Mary LeBlanc (Doug), Margaret Hutchinson (Sonny) and sister‑in‑law Rita Bowe (Eddie). She was predeceased by the following sisters Jean( Bob Bell), Edna ( Alfred Moore), Eunice( Allister Reid) and Helen Marie in infancy. Grace also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

Grace lived a life full of warmth, kindness, and genuine love for people. She adored horses, enjoyed bowling, and found joy in spending time with her family and friends. She loved watching Wayne and his friends play golf on the simulator and proudly cheered for her favorite team, the Boston Bruins. For many years, Grace worked as a secretary for the Canadian Legion, where her friendly spirit and caring nature made her a beloved presence. Those who met her quickly fell in love with her gentle heart and the kindness she shared so effortlessly.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13th, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB. The funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14th, at Castle Funeral Home (309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB), followed by burial at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Donations in Grace’s memory may be made to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Henderson Bowe Memorial Bursary. Grace’s legacy of love, compassion, and joy will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
