With heavy hearts the family of Ron Daigle announces his peaceful passing, after 85 years, on Monday, September 21, 2026.
Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Tim and Rita (Cormier) Daigle, a committed and adoring husband to his wife Ann, a role model of how to love and how to parent to his children Lisa (Jay), Krista (Mike), and Trevor (Kristy), and a protective big brother to his sisters Bernice (Henry)and Gerri (Mark). His grandkids Anders, Dexter, Kian, Molly, Torin, Tala, Ena, and Ivy knew him as one of their biggest fans, cheering them on from near and far. He will lovingly be remembered by his cousins, nephews and nieces. Ron was predeceased by his parents; grandson, Dexter; and sister, Gerri.
Ron embraced life with an infectious and endearing enthusiasm that melted hearts and made many laugh. Positive to the end, he felt joy and awe from both the big and small moments in his life – walking the sandbars with Ann along the Northumberland Strait; watching the sunrise with coffee in hand from his back deck; biking, hiking, kayaking and grand adventures over oceans and through Europe, Central America and across Canada; games of bridge, theatre and meals with good friends; singing to his ‘golden oldies’; finding the perfect ‘chuckle of the day’ to brighten others’ days; befriending everyone he met; watching his kids and grandkids grow; and moving through life with Ann at his side. He saw, felt and spread the joy, humour and fun in life.
