February 1, 1940 – April 1, 2026
It is with great sadness that the family of Judith Whittaker announce her passing on April 1, 2026, at home, at the age of 86.
She is survived by her eldest daughter Sandi, son David (Amy), youngest daughter Janice (Rajesh), granddaughter Anna, grandson Sam, grandpup Willow, sister Janet Agro, brother Mack Foster (Alma), as well as several nieces & nephews and extended family.
Judy was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Doug Whittaker, her parents Mack and Nancy (Matthews) Foster, her sister Barbara Davidson, brothers-in-law Eldon Davidson and Joe Agro and her nephew David Agro.
Judy was an amazing mother to her children and nana to her grandchildren. When her children were growing up there were many family vacations to Maine and weekend escapes throughout New Brunswick. Her happiest times were spent at home with family around her, hearing about everyone’s adventures and having get togethers and family dinners where her cooking and baking was loved by all.
Judy began her career as a bookkeeper working in the finance department at Commercial Equipment in Saint John. As her family grew she stopped working to become the best ever stay at home mom to her three children. At her core, Judy was a nurturer, and people were drawn to her gentle spirit. She was a caregiver by nature whose kindness made everyone feel at home in her presence.
It’s important for us to thank the people who helped to give us these last 20 years with our mom-Dr. Margot Burnell, Dr. Holly Campbell, Dr. Carole Williams, Dr. Anthony Reiman, Dr. Patrick Maloney and the SJRH Oncology Department team.
Special thank you to Extra Mural KV, home-care worker/friend Susan Raid and Dr. Christian Mackin for helping mom be able to stay in her home these last few years.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” – 2 Timothy 4:7
