It is with broken hearts the family announce the peaceful passing of Martina Elizabeth “Betty” Dwyer on Monday April 6, 2026, at Rocmaura Nursing Home in her 96th year. Born in Saint John, N.B. on February 1, 1931, Betty was a daughter of the late Frank Andrew Graham and Nora Ann O’Neill, and widow to the late Donald Lawrence Dwyer (2010).
Betty was a lovely writer and had beautiful penmanship, she had many pen pals as far away as England, and Ireland to which she wrote to often and for several years. Betty was a very outgoing person; she volunteered as a greeter for many years for newcomers to the city of Saint John. Betty loved to host Dinner parties and enjoyed going out for social dinners.
Betty is survived by one brother; Bart (Marjorie) Graham, of Saint John, Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Betty was predeceased by her parents; Nora Ann (O’Neill) Graham and Frank Andrew Graham, her husband; Donald Lawrence Dwyer (2010) and her sister; Marina Oliver.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, N.B. (506 634 1701). A visitation will be held on Friday April 10, 2026, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Church on Saturday April 11, 2026, at 10:00am. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
