It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Anne LeBlanc announces her peaceful passing at the age of 79. Mary Anne passed away surrounded by the love and comfort of family, leaving behind many cherished memories for those who knew and loved her.
Mary Anne was born in Saint John on September 7, 1946, to the late William LeBlanc and Mary Coholan LeBlanc. Raised in a close-knit family, Mary Anne carried the values of kindness, loyalty, and compassion throughout her life and shared those gifts freely with everyone around her.
She was predeceased by her brother Tony LeBlanc and her sister Maureen Fuller. Mary Anne is survived by her siblings Reverend Michael LeBlanc, Joseph LeBlanc, and Elaine O’Leary, along with nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Mary Anne’s three nephews, Matthew Fuller, Mike O’Leary, and Andrew O’Leary, were truly the joy of her life. She loved them dearly and took immense pride in the special bond she shared with each of them. Whether through family gatherings, words of encouragement, or the simple moments spent together, Mary Anne’s love for her nephews was evident in everything she did.
She enjoyed curling, bowling, and lawn bowling, activities that brought her great joy, lasting friendships, and many happy memories over the years. Mary Anne appreciated time spent with friends and family and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures and meaningful connections.
Mary Anne was a graduate from Saint Vincent’s and UNBSJ, Mary Anne dedicated 35 years of service to Hope and Associates, where she was respected for her hard work, professionalism, and dedication. She was also an active member of the New Brunswick Women’s Insurance Association and valued the friendships and connections she made throughout her career.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Shannex for the wonderful care, compassion, and kindness shown to Mary Anne during her time there. Your support and dedication brought comfort not only to Mary Anne, but also to her family.
Mary Anne will be lovingly remembered for her generous spirit, her devotion to family, and the kindness she showed to others throughout her life. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick, (506 – 634 – 7424). A visitation in memory of Mary Anne will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM with a funeral liturgy to follow, starting at 1:00 PM. A burial will follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately after the funeral service.
Donations in memory of Mary Anne may be made to the Saint John Community Food Basket, or to Bobby’s Hospice.
