Mildred Pennsylvania Dorbyson

October 16, 1952  –  April 27, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mildred Pennsylvaia “Penny” Dorbyson, beloved wife of the late Malcolm Dorbyson, on April 27, 2026, at her home in Primrose Cottage, Lower Millstream, NB. Born October 16, 1952, in Botwood, NL, she was a daughter of the late Suzana (Tarrant) and Jonas Joshua Stuckless.

Penny came to live at Primrose Cottage in January 2023 after living most of her adult life in Saint John. She told us she was born and brought up in NFLD and left in her late teens. She did not have any formal education as she had epilepsy and was not allowed to go to school.

Penny was not sure about living in a house with a group of women but found her comfort level. She was very fond of Anna.

Penny ‘s three favourite things were getting her hair coloured, getting 2 large teas from Tim Hortons and going to Dollarama.

Penny was independent, frugal, and feisty and everyone at Primrose Cottage – staff, residents and those who come to our home will miss her.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 2 pm in Greenwood Cemetery, where she will be buried with Malcolm. All are welcome to attend.
