It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Nina Jean Roy on August 18th, 2026, at the Shannex Tucker Hall in Saint John NB.
Born on January 25th, 1932, in Baie St Anne NB, she is the daughter of the late Burton and Ella Mclenaghan.
Nina is survived by her daughters Rosemary (the late Calvin) Lights, Judy (Gordon) Beck and Sandra (the late Wallace) Chamberlain, her son, Ivan (Patricia) Roy, her brothers Emerson (Bonnie) Mclenaghan, Burton (Marie) Mclenaghan, Delsworth (Margaret) Mclenaghan, Bliss (the late Margaret) Mclenaghan and Blair (Ola) Mclenaghan and by her sister Margaret (Alphie) Robichaud. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nina was predeceased by her husband Roger Roy, her son’s Romeo Roy and David Roy. Her brother Alden Mclenaghan and infant brother Burton Mclenaghan and sister Mona Chamberlain.
Nina was a beautiful person and her children were her world. She loved deeply in her heart and was a woman of strong faith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 23rd from 4-6 PM. A Funeral Liturgy will be held in the Fundy Chapel on Monday, August 24th at 10:30 AM. Interment Oceanview Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Alzheimer’s in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated by the family.
