Pauline Laurence Logan

April 27, 1932  –  May 5, 2026

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Pauline (Doiron) Logan, at the age of 94 on May 5th, 2026, after a brief illness.

Mom was the heart of our family, a devoted, gentle, and endlessly caring woman. While she never worked outside the home, her true life’s work was her family. She poured her loved into every meal she cooked, every stitch she knitted, and every moment she shared with those she cherished.

In her younger years, she found joy in baking for her loved ones, especially filling the home with the warmth of freshly baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Mom would make monthly trips to the post office to mail these cookies to her grandsons while they were in university. They became known in the dorms as “Nan’s Cookies”. Her famous cheesecake was also a favorite of many. She also enjoyed knitting, creating handmade pieces that became treasured keepsakes for family and friends, especially the knitted Christmas stockings. Also, many little hands were kept warm over the years at St. George Elementary. Mom would knit mittens every year for my classes to make sure no child would have cold hands during the cold winter months.

Her greatest joy was her family. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she took great pride in watching her family grow over the years. Her home was always a place of comfort, kindness, and welcome. She created a special closet in her room where little treasures miraculously appeared for her great-grandchildren, which she affectionately called “GiGi’s Closet”.

Mom will be remembered for her unconditional love, her quiet strength, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind in the family she adored.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Pauline was the daughter of the late Dr. Leo and Emma (Cormier) Doiron of Moncton. She is survived by her son, Greg (Nina) Logan of Grande Prairie; and her daughter, Carolyn (John) Healy of Saint John. She is survived by her eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Logan; her daughter, Susan Buckley; her sister Yvette Coyle; and her brother, Jean Pierre Doiron.

Many thanks to Kim Mason for her care and love shown to our mother over the pas few years.

Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue (506-634-1701). In keeping with Pauline’s wishes, there will be no visitation, and a family graveside service will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
