Shelley Marlene Colwell passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1st at Bobby’s Hospice surrounded by family. Shelley was born on October 15, 1961 in Saint John, NB to the late Francis and Doris (Byers) Price.
Shelley will be dearly missed by her husband and partner of 43 years, Dale Colwell, their daughters Tanya Floyd (Mike) and Amanda Colwell, sister; Linda Kinney, brother Dale Price, sister-in-law Mary Lou Price, brother – in – law Brian Worden, grandchildren; Nicholas and Taya Floyd and Owen Colwell, many nieces and nephews and her three beloved dachshunds.
In addition to her parents Shelley was predeceased by her sister Susan Worden, brother Jimmy Price and sister-in-law Cindy Price.
Shelley owned and operated Colwell’s Bakery on Manawagonish Road for 10 years, a loved business on the Westside.
Shelley may have not loved the great outdoors but she enjoyed 4 wheeling, riding her bike and relaxing around a bonfire with Dale. She also enjoyed tole painting.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 11:30 to 1:30 PM. A Memorial Service will follow immediately in Castle Fallsview Chapel at 1:30 PM. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations in Shelley’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
