With heavy hearts, the family of Troy W. Jones of Grand Bay-Westfield announce his passing on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born February 19, 1965, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Edward “Ted” and Marion (MacAulay) Jones.
Troy was always a character and loved to make others laugh with his quick wit, colourful language, and funny expressions. He was known for his love of music and playing guitar in local rock bands. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels and anything Batman. He was well-loved and will be sorely missed.
Troy is survived by his cherished daughters, Nikki -Lee Dyckow and Haley Dawn Dyckow; a son; beloved grandchildren: Lily-Anne, James, Leo, and Aurora; sister, Catherine Ann Walton; special aunt, Phyllis Beatteay (Rick); and cousins, Andrea Beatteay (Marcel Coutu), and Warren Beatteay (Kama). He is also greatly missed by Sophia Vautour and her children: Chad Vautour (Amanda), Mallory Vautour, and Jocelyn Claydon; Sophia’s grandchildren: Maddex, Malcolm, Manny, Brayden, Austin, and Amelia; and by many special friends, including: Ron Rankine (Cora Comeau), Silver Pilot (Ramona), Dwayne Blanchard (Sandra), Terry Huckins (Susan), Dave Francis (Diana), and Pat Smith.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Saint John SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
