September 3, 1932 – March 30, 2026
Valerie Audrey Robinson (née Love), passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Quispamsis, at the age of 93. Valerie was predeceased by her husband George Robinson, her parents Audrey and Gordon Love, and her brothers Ronald and Alan.
She is survived by her children Bruce (Melissa) Robinson, Kim Robinson, and Heather Robinson, as well as her grandchildren Lauren, Hailey, and George.
Val was born on September 3, 1932, in Montreal, Quebec, but was fond of stating that the best thing that ever happened to her was when her father accepted a transfer to N.B. when she was 11. She spent most of her life living in East Riverside, where she became an avid curler at the Riverside Golf and Country Club, as well as an active member of the choir and the UCW at Saint David’s United Church, (which she continued to support). Val also enjoyed a love of music over the years. She preformed in several operettas in her younger years, and taught ukulele lessons to children in schools as well as to seniors for a number of years.
For the past three decades Val enjoyed being a grandmother to her three grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Lady”. Val was also a very talented knitter, and all three grandchildren can attest to the many knitted items they had received over the years.
The family would like to wish a special thanks, to all the staff of Shannex Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, for all of their help and compassion.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, New Brunswick, (506 634 7424).
Donations in memory of Val can be made to Saint David’s United Church.
