April 1, 1941 ~ September 8, 2026 (age 85)
It is with the most profound sadness the we announce the passing of our Matriarch. Beloved wife of 66 years to Claudius Albert and most cherished mother to her children Claire Mantle(Ed) of Saint John, Paul Albert(Holly) of Hampton, Dan Albert(Patricia)of Saint John.
Mom cherished her 6 grandchildren Grant Mantle(Jill), Jacqueline Carleton(Jeff), Andre Albert(Kyndra), Aaron Albert(Kristen), Ambrose Albert(Nova Gavin),Rachelle Albert(Riley Craft)who lovingly called her Memere. She adored with her entire heart the gift of her 12 great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Parker Mantle, Leni and Yvie Carleton, Rylee Ogden, Xander, Dakota, Addyson and Adrienne Albert, Talon and Brielle Albert and Rylie Denton all of whom thought there was no one like their Grand-Mere and the cookies she baked that were always readily available in her freezer. Along with the lovingly made cookies or meals came the greatest part of any visit, a hug. She collected them and held them close to her heart, in return while being held in her embrace we were wrapped in pure love.
Mom had a fantastic sense of style and was always put together like she walked out of a magazine. Retail therapy was one of her favourite pastimes spending hours roaming around in her favourite shops. She had a way of finding that unique statement piece that nobody else would have. Our mother was a woman of great faith, holding her beloved rosary in hand to guide her through a lifetime of joy and the deepest of sorrows.
Mom was born on April 1,1941 in St. Charles de Kent daughter of Frederick Daigle and Catherine(Comeau) Daigle. She was one of fourteen children and loved to tell stories of her childhood in the rural French Acadian community she loved so dearly. Our mother was very proud of her heritage and as children, she spoke to us in French ensuring we had a connection to our roots.
Mom was predeceased by her sweet little boy Gabriel Albert at the tender age of two with whom she will be reunited in heaven.
We wish to express our deep gratitude to those entrusted with Moms care Dr. Mobin Atellaehi, Dr. Elizabeth Zed, Dr. Christian Mackin, the amazing Extramural Nurses as well as the incredibly compassionate care team at Bobby’s Hospice.
