CN Rail has confirmed that one person has been killed after being hit by a freight train early this morning in downtown Moncton.
The incident took place near the intersection of Queen and Lutz Streets around 1:45-am.
The train crossing had working lights and gates.
We have reached out to Codiac RCMP for more details and are still awaiting comment.
